The other side of Machine Learning

Dr. Ngo Quang Hung, Associate Professor of State University of New York at Buffalo, gave a talk at FPT, on the topic “The other side of Machine Learning”, on 9h00 – 11h00 Thursday, 25 December 2014, room Tap Doan, 13th floor, FPT Building, Duy Tan street, Hanoi. The seminar discussed about important industrial applications of computer science techniques, which are not machine learning, in optimization problem, such as in scheduling problem of distribution and retails, school and enterprise resource scheduling.


Effective RD in technology company

Multi-agent approach in Ho Chi Minh city traffic modeling

Phan Trường Lâm gave a talk on his on-going work in using multi-agent platform GAMMA in simulating Vietnam city traffic, in micro-scale, where the simulation results are verified directly with traffic video recorded in Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh city.

The talk was on Monday 4 August 2014, at 9h00 am, at 4th floor FPT Building, Duy Tan street, Hanoi, using FPT Telepresence facility (number 4009).

Details on intellecture properties

This seminar, presented by Tran The Trung, at 14h Tuesday 1 July 2014, TP3200 13th Floor, FPT Building, Duy Tan street, Hanoi and TP3200 FPT Tan Thuan, HCM City, will gives details on the variety of intellectual properties, from different software copyright licensing to patent system.

The seminar is attended by technical staff working in RD and is interested in understanding intellectual property and the legal aspects around it.

Inference methods for analyzing hidden structures in big data

Lê Hồng Phương gave a presentation, at 14pm Monday 9 June 2014, on the subject of “Inference methods for analyzing hidden structures in big data” summarizing his proposal for research to be funded by Nafosted, in collaboration with Thân Quang Khoát and others.

The audience were researchers – computer scientists, expert in natural language processing or data mining – in and out of FPT.
